She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Hoelle and Pauline Rosine Heller Hoelle; her son-in-law Ralph Schmedemann; and her siblings, Helmut Hoelle, Adelheid Mader, Margarete Painter and Erika Dlugosch.
She is survived by: her fiancé Helmut Cordier; her former spouses, Emory Strauss and Larry Bammes; her children, Isabel Schmedemann, Judy Fielder (Gradon), Elizabeth Schonberner (Douglas) of Georgetown, TX. and Michael Strauss (Christina); her siblings, Ulrich Hoelle and Liesellotte Pohl; her stepbrother Manfried Klein of Germany; her grandchildren, Brent Fielder (Lisa), Kasey Fielder (Lacey), Katelin Schmedemann, Henry Schmedemann, Emil Strauss (Nichole) and Meghan Bechard (Jonathan); and her great grandchildren, Wyatt, Grason, Lillian, Landyn, Wesley, Vincent, Sylvia, Skylar, Destiney and Cameron.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Johnson & Mass-Hinitt Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (203 N Washington St, Junction City, KS 66441). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
As Wally was always a defender of and advocate for children, a memorial has been established to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
