He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Jacobson and Dorothy Jacobson (Knopf); his stepmother Edna; his sisters, Mildred Guthals and Phyllis Eshbaugh; and his stepsiblings, Michael Wolf and Pamela Chronister.
He is survived by: his wife Marita Lynn; his children, Trina Schlesener (Scott) of Salina, Michael Jacobson (Annette) of Hope and Kent Jacobson (Tish) of Gypsum; his grandchildren, Kendall, Karsyn Schlesener, Chance (Emma Bathurst), Camille, Colton Jacobson, Alexa and Gannon Jacobson; his sisters, Anita Keller (Loren) of Corrales, NM and Carol Rock (Loren) of Chapman, KS; and his stepbrother Ken Wolf (Connie) of Canton, MI..
Family suggests memorials be given to the First Baptist Church of Durham, Kansas, or Hospice of Dickinson County.
