He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Soderlund and Elaine Soderlund (Rippe); his son Aaron; and his brothers, Kenny, Jim and Trevor.

He is survived by: his siblings, Lori Dreiling of Hays, Kansas, Gene (Cheryl Soderlund) of Horton and Tracy (Misti Soderlund) of Danbury Nebraska; and his sister-in-law Meghan Soderlund of Beaver City, Nebraska..

Family suggests memorials be given to the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
