It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leona Brandt of Abilene, Kansas, born in Tampa, Kansas, who passed away on December 17, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, August Nely and Alice Nely; and her husband James M. "Sonny" Brand. She is survived by: her children, Debra (Dennis Boller) of Junction City, Diana (John Smith) of Mountain View, Arkansas. and Mitchell (Nancy) of Abilene; her grandchildren, Kim (Chad Kuntz) of Manhattan, Dena Boller of Junction City, Nick (Heather Riffel) of Woodbine, Ashley (Brandon Depew) of Abilene, Kilee (Russell Lane) of Mountain View, Arkansas, Melissa (Jackson Valentine) of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Travis (Bri) of Los Angeles, California, Courtney Rae Boller of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Shawntel (Zachary Bowman); and her siblings, Harold Nely, Sylvia Shipman and Betty Glover.
The family suggests memorials be given to Home Health and Hospice of Abilene or Meals on Wheels.
