He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Higgins and Urania Higgins (Klingensmith). He is survived by: his wife Hope Higgins; and his children, Jeanette L. Parker of Wichita, John W. Higgins of Abilene, Joseph Higgins (Courtney) of Topeka and Jeffrey Higgins (Veronica) of Abilene. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
