She was predeceased by: her brother Harold Biegert; and her great grandchild King J. Hamilton. She is survived by: her husband Joe Minick; her children, Dan Minick (Sherri) of Manhattan, KS and Kristine Sommers (Christian) of Abilene; and her grandchildren, Jordan Minick, Cheyenne Minick (Jerome Forbes), Curtis and Alexis Minick.

Visitation was held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home (414 NW 3rd St, Abilene, KS 67410). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Abilene First Christian Church (612 N Buckeye Ave, Abilene, KS 67410). A burial was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at the Abilene Cemetery.

Family suggests memorials be given to the Abilene Public Library and can be dropped off or mailed to Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home, 414 NW Third St., Abilene, Kansas 67410.

“I have known Helen Biegert Minick for 87 years. We grew up in the same church, went to different grade schools, but then went to the same high school and 4-H Club. I do believe she is the one who got me started with Facebook. Sometimes that may not be a good thing but for the most part, it is my newspaper and my family notification space. I was also interested in her quilting products. For several years she came to the Geary County Fair on quilt judging day. She was a good friend. Joleen”
