She was predeceased by: her parents, Oval Abel and Gladys Rosa Leah Abel (Sowder); her stepfather SGT Wendell C. Reid; her son Steven R. Britt; and her siblings, James Abel, Blossom Insley and Gladys Rosa Leah Reid.
She is survived by: her husband Duane Britt; her sons, Gary Britt and Dan Britt of Solomon; and her sister-in-law Sylvia Mickey. She is also survived by five grandchildren and three great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
