He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Riffel and Mabel Riffel (Buenning); his wives, Darlene Riffel and Pat Riffel; his brothers, Maynard Riffel and Robert Riffel; his son Kenneth Riffel; and his granddaughter Laura Farley.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Carla Riffel (Kenneth) of Hope; his children, Dr. Alan Lyne (Monica) of Ventura, CA, Robert Riffel of Wichita, Susan Albrecht (Mark) of Bella Vista, AR, Cecil Riffel (Cynthia) of Hope, Lorrie Adkins of Hope, Scott Riffel (Amanda) of Haltom City, TX and Roger Riffel (Jenni) of Omaha, NE; and his sisters-in-law, Jean Riffel (Maynard) of Rose Hill, Marilyn Hostetter (Donnie) of Hope and Lynda Hise (Del) of Albany, OR. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
The family suggests memorial contributions in his memory be made to Ebenezer Baptist Church.
