She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Griffith and Edna Griffith (Clarner); her husband Lee Swanson; her siblings, Joseph Jr., Robert, Edward and Minnie Ann; and her son-in-law John Adee.

She is survived by: her children, Michael Swanson (Kim) of Forest City, NC, Steven Swanson (Carol) of Lincoln, NE, Gregory Swanson (Louise) of Whitewater, WI and LeeAnn Adee (late John) of Rantoul, KS.

In lieu of flowers, family memorials are suggested to the Brethren in Christ Church of Abilene.
