He was predeceased by: his parents, David Smith and Ruth Smith (Gessell); his wife Lorene Miller; his son Robert; and his siblings, Betty Johnson, Helen Hettenbach, Lilla Smith and David Smith.
He is survived by: his sister Joyce Bielefeld; his children, Dee Smith (Reinis), Teresa Hawkins (Ed) and Diane Wolfington (Scot); his grandchildren, Brett Wolfington (Caroline), Ben Wolfington (Stephanie), Abbie Smith (John Duggan) and Sidney Smith; and his great grandchildren, Whitten and Emma Wolfington.
