She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel F. Smith and Nellie M. Handley; her husband Max Chindamo; her siblings, Twila, Lila Verna, Shirley and Kenneth (Bud); and her grandsons, Brad Chindamo and Cory Kauffman.

She is survived by: her children, Daniel Chindamo (Linda) of Platte City and Diane Chindamo Riordan (David) of Lee's Summit; her sister-in-law Beverly Samuelson of Abilene; her grandchildren, Ellen Chindamo of Lawrence, Chuck Chindamo (Melissa) of Kansas City, Weston Riordan (Arian) of Wichita, Tricia Kauffman of Lee's Summit and Tyler Riordan (Jennifer) of Lee's Summit; and her great grandchildren, Dawson, Sophia Chindamo, Siena Casagrande, Macey, Quinton Chindamo, Aleena, Aidan Simonds, Cambell Riordan, Margaret Kauffman, Maddox, Truman and Porter Riordan. She is also survived by her children and grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be given to Abilene First Baptist Church or to Hospice of Dickinson County.
