He is survived by: his wife Flo Mary (Foreman); his daughters, Wendy (Daniel Garbowit) and Emily; his nieces and nephews, Mike Mantel (Sue), S. J. Mantel III, Maggie Sutton and Betsy Pritchard (Marc); and his close friend Tom.
