She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Harrison and Marie Harrison; her husband Albert A. Moreland; and her siblings, Tom Harrison, Bill Harrison, Marion "Jean" Beck, Joy "Dee" Plunkett and Sarah Ann "Sally" Slater.

She is survived by: her sons, Mike Moreland (Patti) and Mark Moreland (Becky); and her grandchildren, Kristie Heilers, Kasey Moreland, Stephanie M. Moreland, Mark T. Moreland, II and Daniel J. Moreland. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.

“Mary Lou and Virginia Price-Dalton became friends in kindergarten. That friendship continued through school, they worked together after graduation, and stood up for each other when they married. I had the pleasure of meeting Mary Lou several times as Virginia's son Ron and I would drive Virginia to meet Mary Lou for lunch. Virginia had difficulty hearing, but Mary Lou would carry the phone conversations and would sometimes call Ron to check up on Virginia. May they be reunited in heaven.”
