It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gordon Van Marter of Zionsville, Indiana, born in Batavia, New York, who passed away on September 2, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Grandon Gordon and Kathryn Van Marter (Swonger); and his sister Fern Palmer. He is survived by: his friends, Jerry "Huffie" Hoffman, Mike "Muskie" Marolf of Peter, Poorman and Stan "Smitty" Smith; his former wife Donna L. Hagadorn; his children, Kirsten Van Marter (Tom), Robb Van Marter of Boston, MA, Michael Van Marter of Indianapolis, IN and Derek Van Marter (Nicole Ringgold) of Twisp, WA.; his granddaughters, Kasie, Kama, Kylie and Cymone; his wife Terrie Van Marter; his stepchildren, Aimee Catellier (Kevin Elkins) of Greenfield, IN and Andrew Catellier (Tabitha) of Pendleton, SC; his stepgrandchildren, Mason, Gavin, Mya and Nora; his sister Barbara Lantz of Ravenna, OH; his nieces, Joni Lantz (Corinne), Vicki Lantz (Lisa), Tia Davis (Brian) and Kim Palmer Glover; and his nephew Kirk Palmer.
