He was predeceased by: his parents, William Beshears and Annie Beshears; his wife Jean Beshears; and his siblings, Lonnie, J. L. Willie and Eula.
He is survived by: his children, Franklin Beshears, Jr. and Lisa Stanley (Dan); his grandchildren, Chet (Jessica), Jeana, Rhylee, Cal and Justine; his great grandchildren, Branson and Norah; and his brothers, Paul Beshears (Sandra) and Hugh Beshears. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Franklins name are preferred to the American Lung Association or the American Diabetes Association.
