Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Ernie Taylor of Zionsville, Indiana, born in Henryville, Indiana, who passed away at the age of 95, on September 16, 2023. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Taylor and Dora Taylor (Casey); his spouse Taylor; his son Ronald Hartrum; and his siblings, Doris Lowry, Earl, James, Roy and Ward Taylor.

He is survived by: his son Thomas Taylor (Christine) of Virginia; his grandchildren, Zach Taylor, Madison Stillabower (Adam) and Rhonda Poe (Tony); and his great grandchildren, Megan, Paul and Mary Hurley. He is also survived by 8 great-great- grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ernie's memory may be made to the Boone County Cancer Society, 117 W. Elm Street, Lebanon, IN 46052, or the charity of your choice.

“My deepest sympathies at this difficult time. Ernie was a special man. He had such a way about him that touched my heart and his wit and humor brought such laughter and smiles every time I saw him. It was an honor and pleasure to be his nurse these past few years. I’ll miss him tremendously. May you be consoled that he’s home with His creator and loved ones who passed before him. Prayers are being lifted for the surviving family and loved ones for peace, strength, comfort and encouragement.”
