It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Ann Bates of Zionsville, Indiana, born in Loogootee, Indiana, who passed away on April 24, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Dorothy Ann shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Dorothy Ann farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Reynolds and Marie Reynolds (Lence); her daughter Jennifer Bates; and her grandchildren, Jason Wiley and Macie Bates.
She is survived by: her children, Raymond Allen Bates (Diana), Susanne Wiley-Evans, Monica Ushakoff, Pamela Dewhirst (David), John Bates and Andrew Bates (Judy). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
