He was predeceased by: his former wife Elaine. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his daughters, Renee (Niki), Taylor (Aaron), Brandy Schmidt (Justin) and Natalie Kruger (Scott); his grandchildren, Brandon, Josh, Adam, Sydney, Ben, Jacob and Greyson; his siblings, Ella, Jo Lee Cash, Larry Saubert (Esther), Roseanna Lund (Ray) and Lysle Saubert (Brenda); his nieces and nephews, Peaches and Gene; and his daughter Niki.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the New Hope Christian Church (5780 S Main St, Whitestown, IN 46075). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Zionsville Cemetery (10555 Zionsville Rd, Zionsville, IN 46077). A burial was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 2:15 PM to 2:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Hope Christian Church or to a charity of your choice in Gene's name.
