He was predeceased by: his parents, Voicie Ray and Lena Neal (Catron); his wife Cleo Plaspohl; his children, Johnny Neal, Vicky Massey and Cheryl Eagan; and his brother-in-law Bill Hickey.
He is survived by: his siblings, George Neal (Ina) and Barbara Hickey; and his friend Peggy Buchanan. He is also survived by four grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
