She was predeceased by: her parents, Benham Williams and Josie Williams (Mitten); her former husband William A. Waggoner; her son Joseph Waggoner; her grandson Devin Waggoner; and her brothers, John Williams and Benham Williams, Jr..

She is survived by: her husband Paul McCarter, Jr.; her sons, Robert Waggoner (Lilia) of Williston, ND and Tim Waggoner of Worthington; and her grandchildren, Christopher Waggoner (Kieran), Jason Waggoner, Amy Waggoner, Hanna Waggoner, Heather Maxwell, Alison Waggoner, Amber Waggoner and Zack Waggoner (Lexie). She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
