He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Doehrmann and Beulah Doehrmann (Helmke). He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Teresa Smith (Kurtis), Shane (Eva Dziadula) and Daryl Doehrmann; his siblings, John Sowers (Carolyn), Nancy Meador (Willie), Kathy Hart (Roger) and Susan Wiggins (Mike); his grandchildren, Sophia (Sean), Naomi, Alex, David, Ellesha, Daniel, Leni, Kennedy and Niki; and his great grandchild Eli.

Preferred memorials are to Alzheimer's Association or Concordia Theological Seminary.
