He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Gerig and Marilyn Gerig (Scoby); his brother Bradley Gerig; and his father-in-law Ronald Lampe. He is survived by: his wife Jayne Gerig (Lampe); his sons, Brock Gerig (Courtney) of Fort Wayne and Bryce Gerig (Janessa) of New Haven; his grandchildren, DeJay, Kale, Jase, Hadley and Bronson Gerig; his sister Judie Smith of Hamilton; his sisters-in-law, Kristina Meyer (Roger) of Woodburn and Dana Klopfenstein (Nick) of Woodburn; and his mother-in-law Phyllis Lampe-Bunnell of Woodburn.
Preferred memorials are to Central Lutheran School.
