She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Gustin and Emma Gustin (Scheele); her husband Melvin; her grandson Justin Gerbers; her sisters, Bernadette Heyman and Phyllis Hoeppner; and her daughter-in-law Deborah Gerbers.

She is survived by: her children, Rebecca Childs (Mark) of New Haven, Keith of Fort Wayne, Randy Gerbers of Fort Wayne and Todd Gerbers of Lebanon. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren.
