He was predeceased by: his parents, Eli Kauffman and Bertha Kauffman (Herschberger); his siblings, Willard Kauffman and Anna Helmuth; and his brother-in-law Jim Helmuth.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Kauffman (Hicks) of Wolcottville; his children, Cheri Perkins (David) of LaGrange, Karla Robertson (Rich) of Magnolia, Sheila Bentley (Mike), Sharon Dimon (Jason) of Sarasota, Florida, Ryan Kauffman of Howe and Ronnie S. Campbell; his siblings, Linda Schrock (Al Mast) of Wolcottville, Liz Mullett (Kenny) of Nappanee, Robert Kauffman (Debra) of Goshen and David Kauffman (Karen) of Wolcottville; and his sister-in-law Alanna Kauffman of Florida. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.
