It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John VanWinkle (Wolcottville, Indiana), born in Linton, Indiana, who passed away on September 14, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Paul VanWinkle and Betty Harbin VanWinkle; his former wife Sherri Jean Pyle; and his siblings, James VanWinkle, Bill VanWinkle and Cathy Henderson.
He is survived by: his wife Maureen Marie Ellsworth of Pretty Lake, Wolcottville.; his daughters, Alisa (Brad Bloom), Beth VanWinkle (Matt Speiser) of Fort Wayne, Amy (Trent Smith), Rachel (Andrew Scheidler), Erica Parr (Manny Villanueva) of Pretty Lake, Wolcottville. and Amanda (Derrick Parr-Newton); and his sister Sandy Harbach of Phoenix, Arizona.. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, four foreign exchange grandsons, two great grandsons, and one great grandchild.
Memorial donations may be made to Clothes for Joes, a local nonprofit organization committed to providing clothing and essential needs to local military veterans.
