He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Lee Newsome and Annie Newsome (Hall); his former wife Margery Adams; his siblings, Madline Mitchell, Phyllis Mitchell, Nevelene Blankenship, Charlene Hoover and Arnold Newsome; and his daughter-in-law Kim Newsome.
He is survived by: his wife June Elkins; his sons, Gary Newsome of LaGrange, Eugene Newsome of Howe and Jason Newsome (Tammy) of LaGrange; his grandchildren, Josh Newsome, Megan Newsome, Morgan Newsome and Katrina Newsome; his great grandchildren, Skyler, Riley, Cali and Isabella; his stepchildren, Deborah Berkey (Jerry) of Plainfield, Rick Harman of Arizona, Barry Harman of Claypool and Ronald Harman (Lisa) of Claypool; and his siblings, Klione Newsome of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, Ruthie Tuttle of LaGrange and Gracie Emrick of Kentucky.
