He is survived by: his parents, Robert Charles and Ruth Ann Rittermeyer (Barker); his wife Dani Rittermeyer of Wolcottville; his children, Brienna M. Rittermeyer of Kendallville and Adam Robert Rittermeyer (Marissa) of South Carolina; his grandchildren, Branden Thompson, Aiden Thompson and Eisley Rittermeyer; and his siblings, Gretchen M. Yurek of Fort Wayne and Robert R. "Bob" Rittermeyer of LaOtto.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society.
