He was predeceased by: his parents, Tim Poindexter and Christine Poindexter (Sims); and his siblings, James Poindexter and Carolyn Burrell (Poindexter). He is survived by: his children, Kristie (Susan McHan) and Steven (Angie); his grandchildren, Erin, Loren Poindexter McHan and Zachary Albin (Abby); his great grandchildren, Sophie and Calliope Albin; his wife Faith Gillen (Bonnell); his stepchildren, Jacquelyn Gillen of Lafayette, Mark Gillen, Mick Gillen, Michelle Gillen of Lafayette and Joe Gillen; his stepgrandchildren, Jon, Claire, Sam, Seth and Alex; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Savannah, Holston, Eleanor and James; and his siblings, Tim Poindexter of Wolcott, Robert Poindexter of Lafayette and Joyce Worthington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
