It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Allen Richard Swayze of Wolcott, Indiana, who passed away on March 27, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Allen Richard may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Allen Richard leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Xada Swayze and Young; his wife Carol Jean Steffel; and his sister Sara "Susie" Dunn. He is survived by: his son Allen R. "Dick" Swayze Jr.; and his sister Judy Shand.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Foster-Clapper Funeral Home of Wolcott Monday (202 W School St, Wolcott, IN 47995). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
