He was predeceased by: his parents, Noble Sexton and Edith Sexton; his wife Linda Mae Wicke; his son Mark Lachlan Wines; his siblings, Margie McDonald, Sunny Dole, Betty Phillippi and Larry Wines; and his pet Gus Wines.
He is survived by: his daughter Becky Snyder (Kevin) of Tullahoma, TN; his close friend Madeline Johnson of Winslow, IN; his stepdaughter Jessica Hawkins (John) of Bicknell, IN; his siblings, Debbie Woolard (Orvel) of Terre Haute, IN, Virginia Leonard of Mattoon, IL, Jeanie Guymon of Mattoon, IL, Jeri Kemp (Samuel) of Holt Summit, MO and David Wines of Pierre, SD; his grandchildren, Lillian and Elias Snyder; and his pets, Pepper, Chigger, Chewy and Gunner.
