He was predeceased by: his parents, Herschel C. and Sylvia Mabel Tillson (Green); his wife Marjorie; and his siblings, Bill Tillson and Martha Peters.
He is survived by: his children, Darrell Tillson (Pat) of Union City, IN, Carolyn Kruckeberg (David) of Greenville, OH and Sharon Myers (Dave) of Troy, OH; his sister Marilyn Mills; his brother-in-law Keith Peters of Richmond, IN; and his grandchildren, Andy Tillson (Alix), Amy Trent (Tyler), Eric Myers (Jenn), Stephanie Laycox (David), Michael Myers (Dustin), Aaron Kruckeberg (Ashley Hutchins) and Amber Short (Brent). He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren; and 6 step great grandchildren.
