He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobby Byrd and Leatha Byrd. He is survived by: his wife Kimberly Sue Byrd; his children, Brad Byrd (Paige), Brian Byrd (Samantha) of Wickliffe, KY, April Emmons (Justin) of Mayfield, KY and Ashley Miller of Paducah, KY; his sisters, Pat Owen (Michael) and Deanna Clark (Michael); and his stepmother Hannah Williams. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
