He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Hyre and Pauline Hyre (Dorgan); his daughter Konna Keister; and his siblings, Patty Mann, Ann Padgett, John Hyre and Charles Hyre.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Hyre (Crouch) of Winchester; his children, Kevin Helton (Tammy) of Huntingburg, IN, Bonnie Hart, Kathy Ward, Betsy Chastine, Ronda Due and Lisa Owensby; and his siblings, Jane Oler (John) of Mary Esther, Mary Lou Baker of Warsaw, IN and David Hyre of Rochester, MI. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
