He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard J. Sturgis and Nellie A. Personette Sturgis; and his siblings, Viola Ashe, Faye Soper, Ruby McGee, Frances Soper and Edward Sturgis.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Burdette Crowe; his children, Karl Feaster Sturgis (Pat), Jada Sturgis Noe (Dan) and Dawnette Sturgis Kanekawa (Kogi); his stepsons, Jay Crowe and Mitchell Crowe; his brother Donald Sturgis; and his sister-in-law Vicki Burdette Ratcliffe (Rex). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren.
