It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Leroy Shepherd (Winchester, Indiana), born in Portland, Indiana, who passed away on August 21, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Shepherd and Laura Shepherd (Ewing); his son William Benjamin Shepherd; and his brother-in-law Cal Matheny. He is survived by: his wife Mary Shepherd (Paul); his son James, Jr. (Deborah); his grandchildren, Brittany Mendoza (Raynor), Hannah Shepherd, Tyler Shepherd (E'Vaughna) and Liam Shepherd; his great grandchildren, Theodore, Callen Shepherd and Raylee Mae Mendoza; his sisters, Barbara Matheny and Sharon Anderson (Ralph); and his daughter-in-law Mary Shepherd Redmond. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
