He is survived by: his wife Judith Simmons (Addington) of Winchester; his children, Teresa Simmons Study, Rodney Simmons of Muncie, Dwayne Simmons of Winchester and Julie Ross (Brent) of Richmond; his grandchildren, Shayla Whittington (Aaron) and Brody Ross; and his great grandchildren, Jackson and Wyatt Whittington.
