He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralston Swindell and Gertrude Swindell (Barnes); his former wife Marilyn Swindell; his wife Beverly Swindell; his stepdaughter Mary Ellen Jackson; and his siblings, Birdie Ellen Gooch, Ruby Marcum, Gerald Swindell and Dallas C. Swindell.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Swindell (Kathy) of Dunkirk, Connie Riggle (Randy) of Dublin, IN and Darlene Gay Thornburg (Joe); his sisters, Margie Roberts of Sparta, TN, Mollie Clark of Sparta, TN, Wanda Fay Huston (Tub) of Sparta, TN, Edna Moland (Dean) of Winchester, IN, Barbara Dunn (Loyd) of Sparta, TN and Liz Willson (Bob) of Spring Hill, TN; his stepdaughter Kathy Hollowell; and his close friends, Juan Vazquez (Amanda) and Shawn Hummel (Pauletta). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
