She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Sexton and Elizabeth Sexton (McCoy); her sister Dorothy Catherine Orr (Kit); her husband Joseph A. Chalfant; and her son Douglas E. Chalfant.
She is survived by: her former husband Joe Chalfant; her children, Deborah J. Acree (Steve) of Ridgeville, IN and Gregory A. Chalfant (Lisa) of Winchester, IN; her daughter-in-law Diane Chalfant of Hartford City, IN; and her grandchildren, Dana Hartzell (Scott), Jason Enghaus, Christopher Chalfant (Abbey), Joel Chalfant, Stephanie Chalfant and Deidre Conner (Zacc). She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
