She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Retter and Cordelia Retter (Brouse); and her brothers, Ward, Edwin, Duane and Phil Retter.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry Brumfield; her children, Tammy Wise (Joe), Angie Kitashoji, Brent Brumfield (Karrie), Brad Brumfield and Bruce Brumfield (Keri); her siblings, Rita Densmore, Carolyn Rees (Jim), Nelson Retter, Jane Beck (Carroll), Linda Haynes (Ed) and Joyce Relly; and her sisters-in-law, Dixie Edwards and Judy Strong (George). She is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
