He was predeceased by: his parents, John S. and Romaine Capper, Jr. (Tiffany); and his siblings, John "Jack" Capper III, Betty Ley, Virginia Kinsel and Marilyn Heinsen.
He is survived by: his wife Tressa Capper of Winamac; his children, Tammy Halleck (Tom) of Star City and Chad Capper of Ft. Wayne; his siblings-in-law, Ed Sayers (Mary) of Winamac, Elston Sayers (Andrea) of Bedford and Linda Kroft of Winamac; his grandchildren, Tiffany Howe (Evan), Taylor White (Grant), Tabby Chapman (Anthony), Brendan Elder and Rylan Capper; and his great grandchildren, Asher, Reagan Howe, Hadley and Mila White.
