He was predeceased by: his parents, William Crippen and Thelma Crippen (Conrad); his stepfather Harold "Skip" McKinley; and his sisters, Winifred Crippen and Betty Hensel.
He is survived by: his former wife Ruth Boyer; his wife Dorothy Hiatt; his children, Michael Crippen (Glenda) of Lafayette, Jan Denny (Thomas) of Logansport and Jean Denny (Richard) of Squaw Lake; and his stepdaughter Teresa Brown (Ike) of Royal Center. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 18 great- grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
