He was predeceased by: his brother Kenneth Joseph Armstrong; his father Ernest D. Armstrong, Sr.; and his son Ernest D. Armstrong III. He is survived by: his son Zach Armstrong (Ashley); his grandsons, Nathaniel and Jackson Armstrong; and also, Vickie Kaczmarek and Rhiannon Armstrong of Winamac.
