It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty J. Shorter of Winamac, Indiana, born in Monticello, Indiana, who passed away on January 30, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Merle Ezra and Wanetta Ezra (Allen); her husband James "Jim" Shorter; her siblings, Benny Ezra, Larry Ezra and Shirley Peters; and her grandchildren, Michael Shorter and Christi Hoffa.
She is survived by: her children, Gregory Shorter (Tracey) of Winamac, Steven Shorter (Chris) of Winamac and Amy Bailey (David) of Star City; her grandchildren, Ashley Stemm (Tommy Coop) of Osceola, Brittni Bailey (Steve Kasten) of Winamac, Emily Campbell of Winamac, Andrea Sanson (Kenny) of Star City, Trent Shorter of Star City, Jamie Sells (Brandon) of Lakeville and Tiffani Shorter of Winamac; her sister Carolyn Knebel of Indianapolis; and her grandchildren-in-law, Tim Hoffa and Brandi Shorter of Winamac. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
We were unable to hold services at the time of his passing due to COVID.
