He is survived by: his sons, Robert L. Whistler Jr. (LeeAnne), David Anthony Whistler and Shawn Whistler; his close friend Sue Cronk; his siblings, Linda Sears of Minneapolis, Susan Abel (Dick) of San Diego, CA and Ronald Whistler (Cindy); and his granddaughter Assia Whistler.
