He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley John and Mildred Louise Smalley (Sanders); his wife Mary Helen Gregory; and his siblings, Harley, Tom, Bill, Edwin, Harry Smalley, Mable and Adrienne.
He is survived by: his sons, Alvin Smalley (Molly) of Williamsport, Mark W. Smalley of Williamsport and Adam C. Smalley of Williamsport; his sister Mary E. Porter; and his grandchildren, Joey, Nick, Nora and Evan Smalley.
