It is with great sadness that we announce the death of MacEl Sterwerf (Williamsburg, Indiana), born in Sneedville, Tennessee, who passed away on August 12, 2019, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her fathers, Willard Hatfield and Leo Mildred Hatfield (Givens); her husband Elmer Sterwerf; her siblings, Allen Hatfield and Evelyn Stewart; and her great grandchild Addyson Demaray.
She is survived by: her children, Stephen Thompson (Glenna) of St. Paul, MN, Bruce Thompson (Karol) of Ft. Wayne, Cynthia Cox (Joe) of Sebring, FL, Michelle Schmitt (Chuck) of Sunset, UT and Daryl Scott Sterwerf (Mona) of Rushville; and her sister Betty Rhinehart (Jay) of Shippingsburg, PA. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
