Richard Matis Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 12, 2022, at the age of 74, Richard Matis of Whiting, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sister Arlene Blahunka (late Ted); and his sister-in-law Lorraine Gaik (late Tony). He is survived by: his wife Mary Anne; his son John Stedman (Colleen); his grandchildren, Michael, Joshua and Lucy; his sister Nancy Tkach (late Greg); his siblings-in-law, George Cengel (Catherine) and Joanne Krueger (Michael); and his friends, George "Butch" Curosh and Bernie Grisiola. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation is at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00pm. (Due to the current health situation face masks are encouraged at the funeral home and church. Social distancing is expected).
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the St. John Steeple Restoration fund, would be appreciated.
