Modena Chovanec Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Modena Chovanec of Whiting, Indiana, who passed away on November 15, 2020 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband George A. Chovanec; her children, George A. Chovanec (Denise) and Beverly J. Lania (Michael); her grandchildren, Ava Chovanec-Zielonka (Adam), Emily Chovanec, Darryl Genovesi (Lilli), Lauren Kratz (Drew), Matthew Genovesi and Danielle Lania; her great grandchildren, Eli, Olin, Nora, Evelyn, Julie and Dominic; her siblings, Shirley Cordes (Glenn), Sandra Morello (late Vinicio), Stewart Kimball (late Gloria), Douglas, Fred, Ron Kimball and Cina; and her parents, Fred Kimball and Orpha Kimball. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the St. John Steeple Renovation Fund would be appreciated.
