It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Villarreal of Whiting, Indiana, born in East Chicago, Indiana, who passed away on January 24, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Villarreal and Mary Guadalupe Villarreal; his brothers, Robert, Richard, Joseph and Edward; and his close friend Ronald Scott.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Villarreal (Maura), John Villarreal of Phoenix, AZ and Victoria Villarreal; his grandchildren, Vincent, Amanda, Anthony, Ariana and Selena; his siblings, Peter Villarreal (Mary), Rita Sappe, Mary Lou Ortega, Frances Sotelo, Teresa Villarreal and Cindy Gonzalez; and his niece Rachel Villarreal.
