He was predeceased by: his wife Georgette M. "Georgie" Blackwell; his siblings, Wanda Banther, Barbara Dockery, Phillip Blackwell, Carolyn Sue Harris, Donald Blackwell and David Allen Blackwell; and his parents, Boss Blackwell and Reba Blackwell (Moore).
He is survived by: his children, Dave Blackwell (Laura) and Lori Bazelewski (John); his grandchildren, Amanda Serrato (Nick), Brianna McGuire (Brian), Courtney Blackwell (Justin Pennington) and Autumn Bazelewski; his great grandchildren, Kannon, Skylynn McGuire and Baker Serrato; and his sisters, Donna Hoff and Debbie Blackwell.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Baran Funeral Home (1235 119th St, Whiting, IN 46394). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
